III.Procedure:

*Organization : Greetings and roll call.

* Checking up:- “Name the things they often see in a hotel room”

Contents

- T calls on Ss from different teams to go to the board and write the name of the things . Which ever team gives more things will be the winner.

A.WARM-UP.

“Name the things they often see in a hotel room”

Pre-
-Present some new words.

-Ss repeat and copy them.


-Check ROR.

-Ask Ss to read the Study skills box.

-Explain any words that Ss do not know.

-Ss quickly look at the text then answer the questions.

A. WARM-UP:

Check old lesson: (new words)

-Ask Ss to look at the picture to give the meaning of the words.

-Give some more new words.

-Repeat and copy them.


- T asks Ss to look at the plan of the room and guess where to put the furniture

-T plays the recording for Ss to check their guess

- Ss describe Nick’s parents’room .



B. NEW LESSON :

I. Listening.

-There is a big bear near the door. The bear is actually a fireplace. In the corner, there is a window. The shelves are right in front of it..

The bed is next to the shelves. There is a wardrobe next to the bed. There is a sofa, a table and two stools. It is comfortable.



-Tell the class how to write an e-mail to a friend :


-Hang the poster of Writing tip on the board.

-Ss study the Writing tip and may ask some information.

-Explain the new words.

- Ss read the e-mail and correct it

- One Student goes to the board to do this exercise

-The class comment and check.

- Give the correction.
- Ss have to go through all the steps (PDC)

- T goes around to observe

- T gives each group a big sized piece of paper to write their e-mail

- T asks 2 groups to stick their finished e-mail on the board

- Other Ss and teacher gives comment questions.


II. Writing.

Writing tip.

1. How to write an e-mail to a friend :

-In the subject line , write briefly what the e-mail is about

-Begin the e-mail with a greeting ( Dear / Hi / Hello )

-The parts of an e-mail : 3 parts



+ Introduction :

- Ask about her/his health

- Thank him/her for the previous e-mail or write the reason for e-mailing

+ Body :

- Write the subject(s) of the e-mail , write each subject in a new paragraph



+ Conclusion:

- Saying goodbye

- Asking him/her to write back

- Sending regards to her /his family

* Write an e-mail to Nick . tell him about your idea for the new room of the Crazy House Hotel

- Ss draw their own crazy house and tell the group about their house . Alternatively , each group can draw a crazy house together then tell the class about their house . The class vote for the best crazy house . If there is no time left , this part can be done at home as homework
