THEME ON LOCAL LITERATURE IN THE SCHOOL
(Survey on local literature program in the Northern coastal provinces)
Abstract: In the general education curriculum, local literature plays an important role in
linking school knowledge with local realities. Based on the application of
interdisciplinary research on Literature-Culture, the paper focuses on local literary
themes in schools in the Northern costal provinces such as: homeland, indigenous people
and social themes to suggest the form of subject- based local literary teaching.
