Configuring IEC 61850 communication for a single Ethernet

Follow this procedure to configure IEC 61850 commuinication for a single

Ethernet connection. The device’s physical ports 1 and 2 are for single Ethernet

connection – you can use either of them.

1. Define the Ethernet port settings under Communication > Protocol

configuration > Ethernet port.

a. Select the checkbox for Enable communication port.

b. Set the IP address.

c. Set the subnet mask (NetMask).

d. Set the TCP keepalive interval according to the client system

configuration.

If the interval value is unavailable, set it to 4 s.

2. Enable the communication port for Ethernet Protocol 1 under
