| 4.2. Configuring a device to publish an analog GOOSE message
Before starting this procedure, configure the redundancy protocol for Ethernet
(PRP or RSPT) as instructed in
3.8. Configuring the redundancy protocol for
Ethernet
on page 13.
1. If GOOSE messages are to be used for protection purposes, in the
Communication > GOOSE configuration > Publisher parameters setting
view, set Max retransmission timeout to 5 s.
2. In the Communication > GOOSE configuration > Publisher configuration
GCB 1 setting view, set the GOOSE configuration as follows:

Enable: select the checkbox.
◦
GOOSE ID: type a name that matches the subscriber’s configuration.
◦
Configuration revision: The revision number shall match the
subscriber’s configuration revision and shall be increased only by experts.
