The configuration of the IEC 61850 protocol is done with the eSetup Easergy Pro

setting and configuration tool (later called Easergy Pro). Easergy Pro can be

connected to the device either with an USB cable to the front panel port or via the

Ethernet network. Furthermore, an ICD (IED Capability Description) file can be

generated with Easergy Pro.

When the IEC 61850 protocol has been activated, the IEC 61850 main config

setting view becomes selectable in the Communication sub-menu in Easergy

Pro. The first part of the view contains 61850 parameters that normally do not

need to be changed. The IED Name parameter is a unique identifier and must be

set differently for each device connected to the same network.
