The paper analyses the legal basis and procedures for joining the Rome Statute of the International 

Criminal Court, based on the studying of international experiences in the process of accession and 

implementation of the Statute. The lessons learnt from the experiences of other countries are crucial 

and practical contributions to Vietnam’s preparation for joining the Rome Statute in the future.
