III. Situation (04 marks) Hotel Reservation

Student will be an Employee and Examiner will be a Guest. Make a conversation between the Guest and the Employee.

Guest: You are the customer. You want to book a room for yourself, your wife/husband and your daughter aged ten. You would like a room with bathroom, but you would not like to pay more than $45 per night. You would like to stay for four nights.

Employee: You are a Reservation Clerk in the Hanoi hotel. Rooms are available as follows:

Tonight and tomorrow night you have only a double room with toilet but without bathroom, rate $41 per night, or an extra-large ‘family’ room with four beds at $55 per night. This room has a bathroom en suite.

For the remaining nights of this week you will have double rooms with and without bathroom available. You can put an extra bed into any double room to accommodate a child. There is no extra charge for children under twelve. The usual rate for a double room with bathroom is $46 a night.

Business in the hotel has been poor this year, and the Manager has allowed you some flexibility in the rates you charge, especially in cases where guests have to change rooms during their stay.
