QUALITY CONTROL
The Taguchi method emphasizes how research and development,
product development, and product design can reduce the
likelihood of defects and errors in products. Japanese engineer
and statistician Genichi Taguchi developed the method based on
the belief that design is more important than manufacturing
processes when attempting to eliminate variances.
