Varying size and shapes of
steel products.
Various industrial purposes
for forgings, for example,
engine parts and other in-
dustrial mechanical devices.
Steel forgings can be
stowed athwartships or fore
and aft. However, long steel
forgings should be stowed
fore and aft.
Steel strips and sections
Varying size and shapes of
steel products.
Product is multi-purpose
with uses in assembly
of steel structures and
manufacturing.
Stowage is dependent upon
shape and size. Long steel
strips and sections should
be stowed fore and aft.
Depending upon the geome-
try of smaller strips and
sections, the product can
be stowed fore and aft or
athwartships.
Steel prefabricated structure
Pre-assembled steel
structures assembled for
immediate use. The product
may be painted or coated.
Product is normally part of
a project cargo along with
items such as generators,
engines, refrigeration units,
oil and gas production
equipment, etc. This
product is prone to contact
damages.
Stowage should be to
charterer’s specification.
Unfinished steel products
Steel slab
Heavy and thick pre-rolled
steel blocks.
Initial steel product before
rolling.
Steel slab can be stowed
fore and aft or in an
athwartships direction.
Steel billet and bloom
Long, pre-rolled steel bars
in rectangular and circular
cross section form.
Initial steel product to be
used to process and form
steel bars, channels, etc.
Steel billet and bloom
should be stowed in a fore
and aft direction.
