Summary
COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT IN OLDER ADULTS IN VARIOUS
DISTRICTS IN HA NAM PROVINCE, 2018
The study on 1210 older adults (aged 60 and older) was conducted
to assess the status of
the cognitive impairment among older adults in a few districts of Ha Nam province in 2018. The
results showed that there was a high proportion of cognitive impairment (33.3%). Our research
results found that there
was a relationship between age, living with a spouse,
education,
employment, and signs of dementia. Further studies are needed,
applying the international
standard toolkit, as well as focusing on caring for the vulnerable elderly and risk factors, thereby
preventing serious illness, reducing
the number of patients, and increasing the quality of life.
