Abstract: ASSESSING AND PROPOSING COASTAL AREAS WITH ECOSYSTEMS AND NATURAL LANDSCPES THAT NEED TO BE PROTECTED IN BINH THUAN PROVINCE The coast of Binh Thuan Province has a 234 km coastline with many natural resources, unique landscapes and beautiful beaches, creating favorable conditions for marine economic development. However, the socio-economic development in recent years has created great pressure on the coastal ecosystem and landscape. In this study, the Delphi method and KAMET principle are applied to identify areas with ecosystems and natural landscpes that need to be protected in Binh Thuan province according to Article 9 - Circular 29/2016/TT-BTN. Research results have identified 6 areas with ecosystems that need to be protected, and areas that need to be maintained ecosystem services and natural landscapes. These areas include Co Thach seven-color stone beach, Ong Dia rock beach, Ke Ga cape, Nganh Nho beach, Bau Trang sand hill and Mui Ne red sand hill. The study also proposes to consider not including Bau Trang and Mui Ne sand dunes in the List of areas where the Coastal Protection Corridor must be established. The research results are the scientific basis for the process of sustainable management, exploitation and use of natural resources and the coastal environment, and the decision to invest and build works in coastal areas Keywords: Binh Thuan’s coastal zone, ecosystem value, natural landscape, KAMET.
