A. Diễn tả sự thay đổi theo thời gian của sự kiện, ta dùng so sánh kép:



S + V + so sánh hơn + and + so sánh hơn

1. Tăng dần:

a. Tính từ/trạng từ ngắn: S + V + adj/adv + er + adj/adv +er

Ex: It is becoming harder and harder to find a job.

b. Tính từ/trạng từ dài S+ V + more and more + adj/adv

Ex: Finding a job is becoming more and more difficult.

2. Giảm dần: S + V + less and less + adj/adv

Ex: He seems to get less and less attentive

B. Diễn tả mối tương quan nguyên nhân – kết quả, ta dùng:
