TRANSLATION OF LEXIS
The biggest difficulties in translating are with words. It might be hard to pick up the right one out
of all different meanings of a word and it is the translator’s job
to consider what the word
actually refers to and decide among all alternatives to find out the best Vietnamese equivalent in
the context. In the following example,
the word charge may have more than a dozen of
Vietnamese equivalents. However, there is only
one Vietnamese equivalent of charge from the
text.
