1.2. Cleft sentences: It + be+ noun/ pronoun + identifying relative clauses.
It was Tom who helped us ( not Bill or Jack)
It was Ann that I saw ( not Mary)
With proper noun, that is more usual than who. That is usual for non-personal subjects.
