The Ministry of Justice charges administrative tax for the issuance of Apostille on public documents in accordance with the Act on administrative taxes. On 21 November 2005 the administrative tax for issuance of each Apostille amounts to 255 SIT (approximately €1).

The District Courts charge court tax for the issuance of Apostille on public documents in accordance with the Act on court taxes. On 21 November 2005 the court tax for issuance of each Apostille amounts to 570 to 1140?SIT (approximately €2.50 to €5.00).

There is no charge for the issuance of the Apostille when issued by the Secretarios de la Sala de Gobierno de los Tribunales Superiores de Justicia (secretaries of the territorial courts) or by the Ministry of Justice.The Decanos de los Colegios de Notarios (president of the Association of Notaries Public) will charge the fee established by the schedule of officially authorised public notary fees and charges.
