The bulky and wide-mouthed Surinam Horned Frog of South America can grow up to 20 cm or 7.9 inches in length. However, its most prominent feature is the horn-like projections above its eyes. Tadpoles of this species attack each other soon after being hatched. It is also informally known as Amazonian Horned Frog.
