The transcendent MEANING of SOUL is perfect with MIND and WISDOM, therefore it is named as DIVINE CONSCIENCE.

The man reply on this Soul to become Miraculous because the Soul has its mission to guide and teach the Perisprit on the progress from position of Man to Deity, Saint, Immortal, Buddha⁷.

PERISPRIT - According to True Philosophy of Great Way, it is called as CHON THAN. Due to this Perisprit, there is the life operating inside material beings. The origin creating the Perisprit is the Vitality Fluid circulating in universe.

The Perisprit is essentially the life inside all material beings progressing from Sanh Hon⁸ to Giac Hon⁹. It continues to evolve more to the Psychological Conscience and Instinct. It obviously still belongs wheel of Animal receiving a part of Marvellousness from the Vitality Fluid.

From the Animal rank with Divine Soul, replying the Soul governing, guiding and teaching, the Divine Soul progresses more to become the Perisprit. That means to obtain the Man rank already.

The man reply on this Perisprit to have Mind, Spirit, Sense, which are wiser than all beings.

The SUPREME BEING uses the automatically mysterious pen of a séance to descend and found GREAT WAY-THIRD PERIORD-UNIVERSAL SALVATION with nothing more than using the law aspect of THREE FORMS:

That is the SEMI-MATERIAL aspect. It is the palace of SUPREME BEING to be seated.

- PALACE OF NINE DIVINE PLANES: on the top, there is Giao Tong governing. Below, there are Dignitaries holding the aspect of material affairs.

That is the MATERIAL aspect under orders of LAW of TRUE DOCTRINE of TAO.

Formerly, after the Phuc Hy king had seen the Unicorn carrying a map on the back showing image of Eight Diagrams and Sword, he could study 8 basic PRINCIPLES of CREATION of EARHT and HEAVEN. From that, he invented the abbreviation script by seamless lines and interruptive lines representing 8 Principles named EIGHT DIAGRAMS.

The Eight Diagrams are 8 Signs: Càn (Heaven): 天,  ||| (☰); Khảm (Water): 水 :|: (☵); Cấn (Mountain ): 山, ::| (☶); Chấn (Thunder): 雷, |:: (☳); Tốn (Wind): 風, :|| (☴); Ly (Fire): 火, |:| (☲); Khôn (Earth): 地, ::: (☷); Đoài ( Lake ): 澤, ||: (☱).

The Eight Diagrams represent the creation mechanism of Universe and the secret of All Living Beings. It means that the SUPREME BEING grants the power of SPACE, which creates All Living Beings. Consequently, when mentioning something about the Universe, the SUPREME BEING is the SOUL, the LORD because HE is the SUPREME SUPERIOR who has created everything.

The general interpretation is to awake cursorily the name of Eight Diagrams only, not to mention a treatise to Eight Diagrams because the study of Eight Diagrams is the Great Science toward UNIVERSAL VIEW with demand a wisdom spirit and difficult work of study so that we can understand something about it.

The Eight Diagrams is the universal science while the universe is immense, boundless with unlimited versatility, that science is the science limited.

The brain of man is studying forever to understand thoroughly. However, it is afraid that the man never obtains his purpose because the Eight Diagrams change according to the secret of mechanism of Universal Creation, it is infinite.

After formation of Eight Diagrams due to the TIME’s appearance, the SPACE creates the Material Mechanism generally named as All Material Living Beings.

The material state of universe is due to the DHARMA-DHATU of SUPREME BEING appearing to clearly determine the union of material and invisible powers.

All material living beings depend on the VITALITY FLUID nourishing, therefore the Life exists inside its body that we call it as PERISPRIT, moreover because that TALITY FLUID replies on the power of Eight Diagrams dominating, it can become lively to uphold its eternal and harmonized life. Thus, all material living beings create the modification of Material Mechanism happening in front of man that all living beings are controlled by the law of life and death, of change toward appearance and body. That is the ceaseless change of Material Mechanism determined by SUPREME BEING.

The Divine Alliance means the alliance with GOD, it refers to the VITALITY FLUID. The Vitality Fluid is the energy of universe. In that energy, there is the appearance of two forms named as luminous wave and atom administrating the change mechanism toward Life of all material living beings. Behind Throne of HO PHAP, adoring the “ENERGY” is its meaning.

The Vitality Fluid is the Medium making the Material Mechanism receive the dominated power of INVISIBLE. In contrary of speaking, it is the Medium making the power of Eight Diagrams administrating on the Material Mechanism same to the Carnal Body of man replying on PERISPRIT unifies with the SOUL coming. In other way, the Perisprit existing at the Carnal Body replies on the Medium named the Perisprit.

Therefore, the Palace of Divine Alliance is the Medium for the Octagonal Divine Palace existing in the Palace of Nine Divine Planes. In contrary way: the Palace of Nine Divine Planes replies on the Palace of Divine Alliance as a Medium to receive the power of Octagonal Divine Palace.

Consequently, the Palace of Divine Alliance is the PERISPRIT of GREAT WAY.

In the SPACE, the TIME appears. It means that the NOTHINGNESS changes into APPEARANCE. The appearance is All Material Living Beings replying on Perisprit to operate continuously to create the Evolution Mechanism of Material Mechanism.

The man is a rank among all living beings. It replies on evolution to create 9 Ranks named Nine Ranks of Deity and Fairy due to Eight Ranks of Soul in the Eight-Diagram furnace. It means that Golden Vase operates to found the Divine Position represented the incomparable power and extreme pure for Divine Beings of Nine Heavens in Invisible world.

About the Universe, the Palace of Nine Divine Planes represents the Evolution Mechanism of all material living beings. For GREAT WAY, the Palace of Nine Divine Planes is all HUMAN BEINGS in TAO gate divided into 9 Ranks:

1. The Dao Huu (Religionist) belongs the rank of Earth Deity

2. The Chuc Viec (Sub-Dignitary) belongs rank of Human Deity

3. The Le Sanh (Student Priest) belongs rank of Heaven Deity

4. The Giao Huu (Priest) belongs rank of Earth Saint

5. The Giao Su (Bishop) belongs rank of Human Saint.

6. The Phoi Su (Archbishop) belongs rank of Heaven Saint.

7. The Dau Su (Cardinal) belongs rank of Earth Immortal.

8. The Chuong Phap (Censor Cardinal) belongs rank of Human Immortal.

9. The Giao Tong (Pope) belongs rank of Heaven Immortal or BUDDHA.

Therefore, the Palace of Nine Divine Planes is the CARNAL BODY of GREAT WAY.

SUPREME BEING descended earth to found the TAO due to the LAW OF THREE BODIES:

  BAT QUAI DAI (OCTOGONAL DIVINE PALACE).

  HIEP THIEN DAI (PALACE OF DIVINE ALLIANCE).

  CUU TRUNG DAI (PALACE OF NINE DIVINE PLANES).
  

For that reason, in Caodaism, somebody considers the Holy See as GOD Court.

The Carnal Body belongs the ESSENCE, the Perisprit belongs the ENERGY, the Soul belongs the SOUL. Those are THREE GEMS.

Three Gems unify together to create a man. However, the owner is the Soul.

- ABOUT CREATOR: The Substance replies on the Vitality Fluid holding the harmonized mechanism two energies of yin and yang to create and change. The Vitality Fluid replies on SUPREME BEING’s attendance to be eternal and miraculous.

The Substance belongs ALL BEINGS, the Vitality Fluid belongs the DHARMA, the SUPREME BEING belongs the BUDDHA.

 The power of Buddha, Dharma, All Beings unified is the power of Creator. However, the owner is the Buddha or SUPREME BEING.

 ABOUT RELIGION: the Palace of Nine Divine Planes replying on the Palace of Divine Alliance can be stable in religious achievement. And the Palace of Divine Alliance replies on the Octagonal Divine Palace to exist.

 

The Palace of Nine Divine Planes belongs ALL BEINGS, the Palace of Divine Alliance belongs the DHARMA, the Octagonal Divine Palace belongs BUDDHA.

BECOME A CAODAI DISCIPLE

To be a Caodai disciple, we must obey the THREE-BODY law creating the CAODAISM. It means to live in the framework of Palace of Nine Divine Planes to be belonged to ALL BEINGS. Whenever being belonged to ALL BEINGS, we must obey obviously the orders of DHARMA. Consequently, if we want to belong ALL BEINGS, we must take an oath:

I am…,…years old, swear that today, I join the Caodaism of SUPREME BEING, never change my heart, harmonize with co-disciple, obey Caodaism laws. If I am two-faced, the Heaven will exterminate, the Earth will kill me.

 The faithful oath is the celebration of joining Caodaism gate. We must obey the Law of True Doctrine of Caodaism held by Palace of Divine Alliance . Due to that reason, the Caodai religionist often calls himself as a child of SUPREME BEING because the Palace of Divine Alliance is the place that SUPREME BEING attends to hold the whole TAO.

LAW OF OFFERING THREE GEMS

Three man forms including ESSENCE, ENERGY, SPIRIT are called as Three Gems.

 According to the True Doctrine of Great Way-Third Period-Universal Salvation, the FLOWER (Essence), ALCOHOL (Energy), TEA (Spirit) are used to offer to SUPREME BEING.

 The offering meaning is not beyond law of THREE BODIES of Creator Power. As a man, we must place us in the origin bearing us and we must obey that Law to obtain the eternal mechanism with Heaven and Earth in eternal life.

 OFFER FLOWER: The follower is the essence of plant representing the essence of material creating the body of man. Offering FLOWER is to voluntarily offer our Carnal Body to SUPREME BEING to act the responsibility of ALL BEINGS. It means to save other people, to release other one’s miseries. FOLLOW ALL BEINGS.

 OFFER ALCOHOL: The alcohol a favour and taste, a drunk essence to deodorize and excite the spirit. It is used because of its taste. Therefore, the alcohol represents the ENERGY belong people’s mind, spirit, strength. Offering alcohol is to voluntarily offer whole mind, spirit to SUPREME BEING to carry out the True Dharma. We must cultivate to have a Perisprit with same form, same nature, same Second Throne in order to attend the Evolution Mechanism on the Path of ETERNAL LIFE with the Creator. It means to serve All Living Beings. FOLLOW DHARMA.

 

OFFER TEA: The tea has a function making nature stable, making the spirit calm. It represents Soul. Offering tea is to voluntarily offer Soul to SUPREME BEING in order attend the marvelous power of BUDDHA. Its meaning is to return to SUPREME BEING or unify with the MASTER in one form to be a medium organ for all Souls in Universe, when coming, when returning. FOLLOW BUDDHA.

In conclusion, the man offers whole Three Gems: ESSENCE, ENERGY, SPIRIT. It means to offer whole Carnal Body, Perisprit, Soul to SUPREME BEING as Precious Things to opening the TAO, save the WORLD to co-live in BOUNDLESS LOVE of SUPREME BEING descending earth to found the CAODAISM to guide the human beings suitably going on ETERNAL framework of CREATOR that is the framework of Justice and Love.

That way is the way of serving SUPREME BEING. Those are “FOLLOW THREE GERMS”¹².

For aspect of Materialism, the man is the mass of meat. The carnal body exists, the spirit also exists that the organ creating the spirit is the brain. When the carnal is rotten (die), it will return to earth.

Is this interpretation true?

If we want to examine if it is true, the way of interpretation with question and reply should be applied to understand easily.

In this way, we can be aware that: CARNAL BODY (meat, bone, head, brain) is proprietary of SELF.

Therefore, the carnal body is the First Body, the SELF is the personal name of Second Body. It does not mean quitely that the BRAIN creates the Second Body.

Actually, the name of SELF is the personal pronoun of SOUL. The Soul exists, the knowledge just appears. The wisdom and competence of knowledge are the spirit.

Due to studying, training, practicing when taking the Carnal Body on the earth, the spirit of man is differently stronger or weaker.

The man has a spirit of revolution, wisdom, intelligence due to being trained for the Second Body – Perisprit to be stronger, purer, more intelligent. However, the strong and pure Carnal Body is required so that the man can train the Perisprit to become strong and pure.

The carnal body is considered as MINE house. If it is dirty, rotten, we will feel smelly and uncomfortable. If the house is clean, dry, we will feel gentle and ease. If the house is collapsed, WE can not stay and we must go away or create other one.

That is two forms of man: Carnal body and Perisprit.

Now, we try to examine in being aware of Third Form named as a Soul of man.

The Second form named as Perisprit is often effected by the First Form (Carnal Body) and exterior things reducing to the Secular path. However, when the Perisprit is seduced, the Soul comes to help to differentiate Good-Bad, Truth-Falsity. For that reason, when doing bad or good, the Perisprit creates two Natures:

1. Bad natures.

2. Good natures.

The Perisprit essentially stays with the Carnal Body, it means that it is excited to do bad by the carnal body and exterior things. Therefore, the bad natures are created to be called as Earthly Nature.

All bad natures of man are unified together to create a Bad Heart or Earthly Heart.

We see the animals and men in no evolution usually have bad natures, it means that there is no Good Heart or in other way, it lacks of Good Heart.

Replying on the Soul’s attendance toward Perisprit, the Perisprit creates conception to differentiate Good and Bad. When he can differentiate the Bad and Good, the man try to keep away bad thing and he tries to do good. Consequently, inside the Perisprit, many good natures gradually appearing are unified to be called Good Heart.

At the beginning with less good nature, the man likes to do bad to satisfy his bad nature. Doing good is indisposed, or it is due to situation or it satisfy a precarious predilection because doing good is to give alms a little properties and spirit, but it is an opposite target of the bad nature.

The Perisprit replies on the Soul attending to give good will named as the marvelous power of GOD to help the man gradually exterminate bad natures. In other way, it is to gradually command bad natures, the good natures gradually develop more and more to the path of perfect good. While the Perisprit contains bad natures and good natures equivalently, it means that the man is halfway in varied state, he also wants to do good and likes to do bad. The war in heart makes the man miserable.

When the Perisprit promotes more profoundly, the bad natures will be dominated by the good natures. This is the time that the man felt happy to do good, however the bad natures are animated sometimes. At this time, the man likes doing good to be suitable for good nature. Therefore, the Conscience (Good Heart) becomes smitten. If it caused a bad thing, the Conscience punishes to make the man smitten, repented, sorry, worried.

There are many people with good nature in previous time, named as a man with Conscience. However, they go wrongly due to bad situation to create many bad natures to overshadow good natures. Until the Perisprit contains all bad natures, he is considered as a man losing Conscience or a man has no Conscience. He becomes a monster in demon position.

When he becomes a monster, he will not contact with Soul with teaching, guidance any more. According to Religion: fallen into the Demon King’s hands.

Moreover, the Heart cultivates by itself to the TRUTH and trains True Nature under power of Soul’s attendance, it can be said that: BUDDHA IS AT HEART. In contrary, the Human Nature is seduced by exterior things and Carnal Body into the Earthly path, the Human Nature will become an Earthly Nature, Ghost Nature, Demon Nature opposite to the nature of Soul. There is no hope “Buddha is at Heart”¹³

In the Divine Messages of SUPREME BEING, there are four verses of poem for Pious Religionists to study the meaning of three words: Buddha at Heart.

Seated at White Jade Palace formerly,

Unnecessary to dream high position.

HEART is precious in spite of riches or poorness,

That HEART as a lotus throne for ME attending.

This HEART must be a True Heart so that the Spirit becomes true (Perisprit). If the HEART is devil, the Spirit becomes devil.

The Spirit changes into devil, only Ghost, Demon enter the body. The SOUL can not enter at all¹⁴.

The Carnal Body is due to Perisiprit to evolve to become perfectly beautiful. About the Perisprit, what does it reply on to be perfectly good?

THE SELF

The man is created by three FORMS, which form calling itself as SELF that we often mention about the good man, bad man, stupid man, wisdom man calling by themselves as SELF.

FIRST STANDARD:

When the man is seduced by nature of Carnal Body to like eating delicious foods, like being satisfied for carnal body, the SELF is the personal pronoun of Nature of Carnal Body.

The Carnal Body gets sick: I feel hurt. The Carnal Body is rotten (die): I die and I am afraid. Because the death is the end without anything.

SECOND STANDARD:

When the man is keen on broadening knowledge and spiritual life, the SELF is the personal pronoun of PERISPRIT.

We should pay attention that the life trending to spirit does not surely have a good nature because the man can uses his spirit to pursue the untrue path in creating many karma, sins.

There are many “SELF”: SELF of Ghost Nature, SELF of Demon Nature, SELF of Earthly Nature, SELF of True Nature. Inside man, there are two FORMS fighting to call SELF, they are the ESSENCE and ENERGY that when he is born: I like, I hate, I am angry, I want to lead a religious life, I do not want to lead a religious life, I want to eat meat, I do not want to eat vegetarian….

Until the ESSENCE, ENERGY end, they will say: “I die and change into an other life”, or “MY body is rotten, I will leave off the body”.

THIRD STANDARD:

When the man is keen on good, truth on the way of doing merit, way of being suitable for Tao, way of being hard to do good to determinedly step on the way of Truth, the SELF is the personal pronoun of Soul.

The man Perisprit is cultivated forever until it recognizes perfectly to return the good of Soul, at that time, the Soul can stay with the Perisprit with perfect attendance.

At this standard, the man contains three FORMS: Carnal Body, Perisprit, Soul but the owner power belongs to the Soul and the self-personal name to SELF of man is really the personal pronoun of Soul. The First Form and Second Form are implements or properties of Soul only.

About way of cultivating three Forms (Bodies) of man, His Holiness Ho Phap taught clearly in Decree No. 209 dated 14^th January, Dinh Hoi year. We kindly copy here so that PIOUS friends take a meditation for action to cultivate to gradually step on the WISDOM Palace.

  Be cheerful, moderate, self controlled and decisive.

  Conscience is the principle for all.

  Have filial piety to God and the Holy Mother.

  Faith and wisdom are the most valuable treasure;

  Those who hate their enemies 
  cannot be calm and impartial persons.

  Those who do not hate will win over their enemies.

  Hatred is the greatest sorrow of human beings. 
  Therefore, a true person (good person) never thinks of it or avoids it.

  Overcome your anger so that you do not enrage others.

  Use good to overcome evil.

  Use kindness to overcome cruelty.
  
• 
  Be generous to overcome selfishness.
  
• 
  Use right to overcome wrong.
  
• 
  That is the Magic Sword of Wisdom.

  Eat pure food.
  
• 
  Think pure thoughts.
  
• 
  Have a strong faith in God and the Holy Mother.
  
• 
  Love immensely.
  
• 
  All this is the key to open the door of BAT-QUAI-DAI rightly in this earthly life.
  

AUXILIARY INTERPRETATION ABOUT TRAINING METHOD OF EACH FORM OF MAN.

In order to be pure for canal body, it does not only mean to wash skin exterior but also need to make interior pure. It means to nourish the canal body by pure and light foods such as cereals,… that it is often called “eat vegetarian”.

In addition, in order to be healthy, we must train the method of NOURISH LIFE everyday.

METHOD OF TRAINING FOR FIRST FORM: The Perisprit must restrain the Nature of Carnal Body and desires seduced by most of external things. That is the formulary of training the Spirit.

Inside, the Perisprit contains old and new Natures. The old Natures are Natures infected via many previous incarnations (Store Nature), the new Natures are the Natures infected at the present incarnation.

The new or old Natures also contain good and bad. Therefore, we must mend and change bad Natures into good in order to control the Carnal Body with good Nature and control not to be infected by external things and we need to learn to evolve forever to be perfectly good.

The First Form is nourished smartly and carefully, it bears the Pure Sperm, due to nourish smartly, it evaporates to become the Pure Energy.

The Spirit and Pure Energy are nourished smartly so that two of them become pure to unify to change into a SECOND BODY (Perisprit).

The Pure Energy is improved smartly, it will secrete brilliant and beautiful aureola like a lotus. Therefore, it is called as the Lotus Throne.

The Lotus Throne is big or small, the color is bright or uneven, it replies on the cultivation work of Perisprit in some incarnations or many incarnations on the earth.

The Second Body is the Holy Body. The more it is cultivated, the more marvelous and eternal it is. The power of Second Body is called as Perisprit, the wisdom of PERISPRIT is called as VITAL SPIRIT.

Which principle must SUPREME BEING decompose soul for each man on this Earth?

In Universe, all living beings are always replied on the power of SUPREME BEING to change into creatures with life in spite of a strand of hair.

The SUPREME BEING has created them, HE certainly has love same to an article made by man and the man obviously takes a loving care of it in esteem.

The Nature of the GOD contains a boundless love because of creation in esteem and loving care. For that reason, the SUPREME BEING LOVES BOUNDLESSLY living beings evenly in care of all HIS children.

We have known that the SUPREME BEING is the SUPREME CREATOR. We mention about sprinkling love, this means to sprinkle the MARVELLOUSNESS. Therefore, the MARVELLOUSNESS that the man receives from SUPREME BEING is called as a SOUL in Tao doctrine.

Actually, the nature of Soul is the Love and Justice.

The man replies on cultivation for perfect merit to create a pure, wisdom Second Body (Perisprit) to receive the Soul in guiding on the evolution path.

In contrary, the Perisprit becomes a devil and it makes the Pure Energy become impure without contacting the Soul. It means that the Spirit and Energy are not unified and it becomes impure in sinful and dull path of the earthly life circling in karma by continuous death and life that it cannot receive the favour of love of SUPREME BEING saved for all HIS children readily. If the man recognizes to reply on it, he can obtain the ETERNAL LIFE to become EXTRAORDINARY and IMMORTAL.

In the Invisible World, Invisible Superiors have only two FORMS: Second Body and Soul. About Deity, Saint, Immortal, Buddha, and inferior ranks, they are controlled under THREE-BODY LAW because it replies on the carnal body (First Body), we can cultivate, promote and develop forever.

When being a Man, it replies on the SOUL given by SUPREME BEING. The man also replies that SOUL’s guidance, the Perisprit can cultivate forever to promote into position of Deity, Saint, Immortal, and Buddha.

- As a man, he shows gratitude to his parents. That is the position of Deity.

- Fulfill the Tao of humanity on the earth, he can obtain the position of Saint.

- After obtaining Saint Position, he practices the Material Dharma of Heaven Tao, he can obtain the position of Immortal.

Due to the law of cause and effect, we have to live on this earth. Those Cause and Effect were created toward all beings by us. In order to be delivered, we must obviously pay those debts completely for all beings.

When finishing depts, it means that we have ended the cause and effect. Ending the Cause and Effect is out of Four Sufferings: Birth, Oldness, Disease, and Death – “Four Noble Truths”.

Serving all living beings with an image of Holy Body means to represent SUPREME BEING’s body to serve Human Beings. It means that all HIS children are considered as a unique method of destroying Karma and it is a way to create a great work for SUPREME BEING under an honour of representing the image of SUPREME BEING to serve HIS children.

Is there any occasion which is more significant and precious than that?

The deliverance belonging to us is that path.
