| Microsoft’s IAS Server
Internet Authentication Service (IAS) is Microsoft’s implementation of Remote Authentication Dial-in User Service
(RADIUS). It is used to accept RADIUS authentication requests from RADIUS clients, such as Foundry’s network
switches, to validate the remote user’s credentials against an Active Directory domain controller. In addition to
authentication services, IAS can also perform authorization, auditing and accounting for user connections.
