Hybridizing – Rainbow Hibiscus

The below was spurred by a post on Hibiscusmania, and is mostly for those
that wonder how some really unusual hibiscus are created.
Hybridizing is done in many ways. Its most basic form is what is often called
pollen dusting, i.e., pollinating everything in sight with minimal consideration
as to what might result and selecting the best of seedlings. This is the shot gun
