MAP TESTING
This week the new MAP Testing Program continues for all students in Grades K – 8. MAP growth is a computer-adaptive test. If your child answers a question correctly, the next question is more challenging. If they answer incorrectly, the next one is easier. This type of assessment challenges top performers without overwhelming students whose skills are below grade level.
This week the children will complete Math and some grades 3-8 only will begin Math. Students will take this test again in January and May to determine how they have progressed in their learning and skill development over the course of the year. We will have results to share with you at the Parent/Teacher Conferences throughout the year.
Please make sure your child is present and on time for school, that he/she goes to bed early, eats breakfast and is motivated to do his or her best!
