Practice
(30 mins)

Ss apply the knowledge in doing exercise and solve the problem relating the subtraction in range of 20.

Do exercises in the text book.

* Ss will be able to:

  • Figure out the key terms, understand and read requirements of exercises.

  • Give correct answers for all exercises in the book as the keys shown on slides.

  • Ask Ss skim the questions and find out key words.

  • Instruct 1 example, then let Ss do the rest.

- Go around to help the Ss.
- Check and confirm the answers.
- Follow and evaluate Ss’s performance.

  • Ss read the questions and underline key words.

  • Speak out the way to do the tasks.

  • Listen to T’s instruction.

  • Do exercises in the text book.

  • Check the answers.


Applying knowledge in real life
(10 mins)



Ss will be able to:
Apply the knowledge about the subtraction to deal with some situations in reality.

Ss listen to T’ request, find the difference of students in random 2 groups, the difference of books in 2 students’ bags, …
Ss give T and friends their own differences



  • Ss apply knowledge about the concept to make a subtraction with the objects in their class.

  • Ss share ideas, and results to T and partners.

  • Do an example

  • Motivate Ss to work together.

  • Evaluate by compliments or give comments.
