Principle: pH Titration 
Reagents required*: 
 
•
0.1 M Hydrochloric acid standard solution 
•
0.1 % Bromocresol green indicator solution (ethanol) 
•
DI water

The analytical procedure is to be followed exactly. 
Be sure to observe all local regulations concerning the permitted limits for 
pollutants. 
 
Procedure for potentiometric pH-Titration 
 
•
2.0** ml of sample solution are given into a suitable beaker 
•
the solution is filled up to approx. 100 mL with DI water and 
•
is titrated with 0.1 M HCl standard solution via titration processor equipped with a pH-electrode to 
determine the second EP. 
Titration parameters: 
Delay (starting conditions) 30 s 
Signal drift 50 mV/min 
Measurement point density 4 (medium) 
Min. vol. increment 10µL 
(Metrohm Tiamo settings “optimal”)
