Skill and experience

Personal skills
■ Building punctual habits is mentioned as well.
□ Self-studying skill.
■ Practice summarizing reading parts through referring documents.
□ Day by day building up the ability of analyzing, hence, upgrade the ability to think
through and to solve problems in learning and in real life.
■ Orientation of jobs in the future: prepare yourself with knowledge and skills involved
in the field, improving foreign languages, especially English, as in further future you
will be working in a global environment.

Team work skills
Team work skills are necessary as our field involves carrying on big projects. Team working
is one way to perfect ourselves through learning from others.
These team work skills are:
i) Team building skill: create a group of people with regular interaction and together
they archive a goal.
ii) Dominant skills: is knowing how to achive efficiency like aiming a target, clearly
separating individual work, communicating, etc... Some of them are very important
such as:
⋆ Communication: Well interacted with your teammates to create friendly work-
ing environment and understand among members to gain efficiency.
⋆ Conflict resolution: seeing through the conflict and using communication to
solve.
⋆ Hold up meetings: make a plan, step by step follow, using visual supporting;
figures, maps, powerpoint...
iii) Team’s leading: Build up from bases
⋆ Plan making skill: answer 5 questions: why, what, who , when and where.
⋆ Organizing tactics: examining, testing, encouraging,...
⋆ Hold up meeting, discussions: base on the 2 former skills

Our experiences
We have nearly passed the fist semester at Hanoi University of Science and Technology,
we have yet to meet many teachers but those we met are wonderful and full of interesting.
They were all students of my school and now they inspire us with their knowledge and
passion. The studying can be overwhelming at time but with their guild and a little knack
for mathematics i think we’ll breeze through all issue and test without doubt.
I was impressed by the educating method in HUST. Our school has successfully created
an ideal learning environment for students.
i) Professional lectures, all top experts in their fields. They has one common method
that lead us to self-studying. In university, reading and skimming are the skills
that we improve each day.
ii) High quality facilities. Our school has been well equipped with labs, machines
that are required in subjects such as Physics, Electronics. We are proud of the Ta
Quang Buu library-the biggest library in South East Asia.
iii) An energetic environment. Our school has many space for outdoor activities. Com-
petitions, events are usually held on weekends, a back up playground for students
besides learning.
In the end, having experienced in HUST in first semester, I find that our school is an
ideal learning environment, which is designed for students who want to get themselves in
disciplines and strict.
