The Palestine Red Crescent Society Strongly Condemns the Bombardment of Al-
Ahli Hospital in Gaza 
 
 
(17.10.2023) The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) is appalled and horrified by 
the bombardment of Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza, which led to the killing of hundreds 
of civilians including women, children, health care prefessionals, and internally displaced 
people seeking safe shelter.
PRCS has been calling for days on the international community to intervene to pressure 
Israel to rescend the evacuation orders for hospitals. The hospitals in Gaza have received 
numerous explicit written threats from the Israeli Occupation Forces, including PRCS Al 
Quds Hospital- which received these threats repeatedly three times.
This war crime comes despite frequent declarations and pleas by these hospitals that 
these orders are impossible to implement, and that they constitute a death sentence for 
patients- as stated by WHO. 
PRCS urgently calls upon the entire international community to strongly intervene to stop 
this continious bombardment of the Gaza Strip. We urge every human being to stand up, 
to act, and to safeguard their fellow human beings. The ongoing assault on Gaza must 
cease immediately. Medical facilities and personnel must be protected, as well as 
civilians, in accordance with the International Humanitarian Law. The silence of the 
international community only emboldens such acts and increases the danger to the lives 
of innocent civilians.
