Topic: is college education worth it? (Negative side) I. Introduction

The decisions of whether one should pursue a college degree or not, and if the answer is yes, what to major in, which colleges will it be, are of paramount importance to our adulthood’s life. And yet, such crucial arrangements are made by individuals who have barely set their foot in the society. Many parents raise the question that if a college's education is genuinely worth the time, tuition payment and opportunity costs that they and their children put in those institutions. Some agree that college graduates have better careers, higher salary rates and they are given better opportunities in daily life. However, the contrast side thinks differently, they argue that people who only graduated high school have better resources to start their own career and many successful people never graduated from college institutions. After doing quite some research, our debate team also disagreed with the college’s education.
