Summery Winners and losers as China joins WTO and lessons learnt for Vietnam This article will focus on two points: the first is who win or lose in China; and the second is who win or lose in the region, especially in Southeast Asia.
The first point concentrates on possible impacts of China’s commitments with the United States and World Trade Organization (WTO) over economics sectors so as to clarify which social classes (e.g. agricultural labor and unskilled worker, or skillful workers and managers) and which geographical regions will win or lose. Then we will discuss in-effect and/or to-be policies of China’s government to solve current/coming economics/social in order to draw some experience for Vietnam.
The second point considers argument posted by China and the United States for China’s access to WTO bringing about win-win situation for all Asia-Pacific nations. If any, who benefit the most? If not, who bears the lost? We hope that implications or influence on regional diplomacy and politics could be revealed.
