INTRODUCTION THE WAY TO LEARN WELL

I. OBJECTIVE

1. Knowledge.

- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to know How to prepare a new lesson, How to learn & check the previous lesson, How to learn English well and use the allocation in their study (at school + at home) and basic classroom language.



2. Skills. Know the way of using other language .

3. Language focus:

+ Structure:

- Asking the students what they learnt last year or how they know English now.



+ Vocabulary:

4. Education.

- Educate Ss love their lesson



II. TEACHING AIDS

1. Teacher: textbook, cassette, tape.

2. Students: Books, pens

III. TEACHING METHODS

- To give a lecture.

- Ask and answer

PROCEDURE
- PHÂN PHỐI CHƯƠNG TRÌNH DẠY VÀ HỌC TIẾNG ANH LỚP 4

Phân phối chương trình cho kế hoạch 4 tiết/tuần.


Số tiết thực dạy:

6 tiết/bài học x 20 bài = 120 tiết

Số tiết ôn tập:

2 tiết/bài x 4 bài ôn = 8 tiết

Số tiết kiểm tra:

2 tiết/bài x 4 bài kiểm tra = 8 tiết

Số tiết dự phòng

4 tiết

Tổng số tiết trong một năm học:

140 tiết

“English 4” has 4 books. ( Two student books and one exercise book)

  • Each student book has 10 units. After 5 units has a review.

  • Each unit has 3 lessons

  • Each lesson has 4- 5 parts

  • Prepare for the academic year.

UNIT 1: NICE TO SEE YOU AGAIN

Lesson 1: Section 1, 2

I. Aim:

By the end of the lesson, students will be able to know the way to greet and respond greetings formally.



II. Language content:

  1. Vocabulary: well, late, morning, afternoon, evening.

  2. Sentence pattern: Good morning

  3. Skill: speaking and listening

III. Resources and teaching aids:

Teacher’s and student’s book, projector, CD, pictures……



IV. Techniques:

Ask and answer, role play, rub out and remember.

1. Warm up:

- Ask students to sing the ABC song

- Ask students some questions which relate to greeting: nice to see you, how are you?

2. Presentation

a. New words

- Teacher presents students some new words:

+ Well/ Good (a) (synonym)

+ Morning

+Afternoon

+ Evening

- Teacher plays the tape and students repeat these words.

- Teacher reads again and then calls some students to read aloud. The others listen and give comments about their friend’s pronunciation.

-Teacher correct students’ mistakes

- Ask students to take note

- Give students to play the game “rub out and remember” to check their vocabulary

b. Sentence patter:

- Teacher presents ( explains) the new structure and gives a example

3. Practice

a. Look, listen and repeat

- Ask students to look at the picture in the book and ask: Who are they in the picture? Where are they?

- Play the tape.

- Play again and then role play the dialogue

- Call some students to practice in front of the class. Teacher corrects

b. Point and say

- Ask students to look at the pictures in the book and work in pairs

- Call some pairs to act out

- Correct their pronoun



4. Production:

- Make a short dialogue.

- Call some students to act out in the class

5. Homework

- Learn the new words and structure by heart

- Do the exercise in the work book

- Prepare the next period: Lesson 1. Section 3,4,5.



- Sing.


- Answer the questions.

- Repeat.


- Individuals read.

- Take note.

- Students listen and take note

2. Sentence pattern: none

3. Skill: listening and writing skills



III. Resources and teaching aids: teacher’s and students’ book, projector, cassette, CD….

IV. Techniques: jumbled word, ask and answer.

*Pre- writing: Ask students to look at the picture and say what they see

* While- writing:

-Ask students to look at the pictures and write the correct words.

- Teacher corrects.
*Post- writing: students read aloud the phrases they have done

4. Let’s sing

- Teacher plays the song:


- Divide class into three groups and song. Which group song are good, that group is the winner



5. Homework:

- Do the exercise in work book, prepare next period.




- Students do it.


- Look at the pictures.

- Guess.

-Students listen and tick into a correct picture

- Some students read their answer.
- Listen and repeat.
- Say about the pictures,

- Write the correct words.


- Write the answers on the board.

- Read aloud.

+1st: students listen

+ 2nd: stop each sentence in the song and asks sing along

+ 3rd: students sing in chorus

- Sing in groups.

- Do at home.

I. Aim: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to know the way to say and respond goodbye

II. Language content:

  1. Vocabulary: pupil, night, tomorrow, see, meet, again, later

  2. Sentence pattern: Good bye. See you tomorrow/ see you again

  3. Skill: speaking and listening

III. Resources and teaching aids:

- Teacher’s and student’s book, projector, CD, pictures……



IV. Techniques: ask and answer, role play, rub out and remember.
