Majored Recording course at Department of Cinema, College of Art, Nihon University. He participated in film production by young directors as a recording engineer or a voicing engineer. Apart from film production, he deals with various sounds such as a pavilion for EXPO, voices for research and laboratory, etc.
His recording works include: “Flash Back Memories 3D” (2012) by Tetsuaki Matsue, “Vengeance Can Wait” (2010) by Masanori Tominaga, “Live Tape” (2009) by Tetsuaki Matsue and “The Pavillion Salamandre” (2006) by Masanori Tominaga
Graduated from Tokyo Kogakuin Vocational School (Technos College) and joined in a sound effects company in Nikkatsu Cinema Studio. He worked as an assistant for “The Eel” (dir. Shohei Imamura/Won the Palme d’Or at Cannes International Film Festival), “Farewell My Concubine” (dir. Chen Kaige/Won the Palme d’Or at Cannes International Film Festival), “Raise the Red Lantern” (dir. Zhang Yimou/Won the Silver Lion Prize at Vienna International Film Festival). Since 1999, he has been working as a freelance engineer. He also works as a Foley Artist and his work in the animation “Howl’s Moving Castle” (dir. Hayao Miyazaki) was nominated for “Golden Reel Award” and “Best Sound Editing in Feature Film – Animated” at Motion Picture Sound Editors Award in the US.
