Abstract: This study aims to improve the production of Ca Lang fish seedling for aquaculture development 
in Quang Binh province and contribute to the conservation of this kind of catfish. The results show that the 
size of sexual maturity is 66 cm in length and 2.87 kg in weight in average for females and 74 cm and 3.53 
kg for males, respectively. The spawning season starts from April to early June. The highest maturity rate 
is 100 % in males and 67 % in females in June. The suitable hormone stimulant for spawning fish is LRHa 
and Dom with the effective dosage at 30 μg LRHa and 6mg Dom/kg females. At temperatures of 26–28 
o
C, 
the response time is 22–25 hours with a reproduction rate of 100 %. Actual fecundity of this species 
fluctuates from 3 146 eggs/kg females to 4 195 eggs/kg females. The fertilization rate and hatching rate 
were 48,3–54,4 % and 38,2–47,3 %, respectively. The fry rate is from 579 fries/kg females to 966 fries/kg 
females.
