Question: What do you prefer to attend public or private college?

It is undeniable that the presence of private college brought us to have many choice to get an education, besides public ones. In my viewpoint, however, attending a community college is superior to studying a private college.

Firstly, the foremost reason why many people choose to study at a public college is affordable studying expenses. In general, the tuition fee of most public schools are affordable with many people, even with low socioeconomic background. In a developing country as Viet Nam, It seems to be difficult to get education at a private public with an expensive studying expenses. Besides, the government schools provide other services with an affordable price, such as costs of uniforms, textbooks, parking, dormitory and so on.

Secondly, it would be appear that studying at a community school helps raise a sense of community among students. In this way, they might practice essential skills for later life. Moreover, it is undeniable that most of students set a goals to attending a government college after graduating from a high school. This means community college grab student’s attention and they believe they will have a good job after graduating.

Finally, the convenience of location is a decisive key to many people’s choice to attend community college. Nowadays, from the North to the South in Viet Nam, almost all big cities have at least one government college, whereas it is not always the case when it comes to a private college. They can both attend college and visit their family as a regular basis rather than choosing a private college with a long distance without spending more time with family.

For the aforementioned benefits, it is my firm conviction that I would rather attend in a public college than private one.
