2 tuan o Phnom Penh thoi gian qua rat nhanh. We worked hard, we did not waste a single day. With the grace from God everything went really smoothly, I cannot put a finger on a negative thing. I have received so much love and joy during my stay in Cambodia. No time for tourist attraction, no Angkor Wat, no fancy restaurant BUT I was lucky to have the chance to get in touch with the locals, I ate good food and had some wonderful time sharing the same table with cac em va cac frere. Everywhere we went to serve, people were very happy and showed us their generosity, they served us the best food and drinks they had. They were very polite, the kids were amazing. I had a swim in the Mekong, I took a shower in nuoc mua, I lived like a Khmer and I got it all for free. Many tourists would pay hundreds of dollars to have my experiences but I had it all for free. I feel so blessed and I am very thankful for every single day I had in Cambodia. Thank you Frere for telling the stories about Cambodia, thank you for inspiring me to go. Now I understand why you love the Khmer people and the Vietnamese people in Cambodia so much. Con muon cam on cac frere for your hospitality, for letting us stay with you. Mother Teresa 2.SUMMER 2014 PROGRAMWHEN: Two sessions: From May 11 to June 11 and from June 25 to July 18, 2014 BUT, besides these two sessions, you can come and leave at anytime, yet try to stay in Cambodia at least two full weeks to enjoy the experience.  WHAT: Summer School for Khmer and Vietnamese children (6 to 15 years old) in La Salle Pothum:
Teaching English about 4 hours a day. Other activities, interaction with local people, students, building house for the poor, etc. depend on your health and availability. WHERE: La Salle Pothum is a school in a poor village, about 10 miles from Phnom Penh. You will live in the Frères’ house in Pothum. You will share in the community life with the Frères, i.e. prayer, teaching, meals, house chores, etc. The house has basic commodities for a simple lifestyle. WHO: We welcome volunteer from 16 to 60 years old (with few exception for younger teens or older adults) who can speak English, is in good health, wants to live and work in community, serves the poor with humility and zeal.
