  1. Compare the similarities and differences between Phu Tho and Bac Lieu

During the field trip, I noticed certain parallels between Phu Tho and Bac Lieu:
Firstly, about the character of the people: they live liberally, benevolently, and faithfully, upholding the spirit of solidarity and attachment to the ethnic community. At the same time, it is the convergence of heroic defenders of the country such as Le Thi Rieng (Bac Lieu), Le Thi Cam Le (Bac Lieu), Nguyen Thi Tu (Bac Lieu), 18 Hung Kings (Phu Tho),
Secondly, there is a culture of worshiping and respecting role models, such as the heroes who bravely fought to protect the country, such as the President Ho Chi Minh memorial site, the memorial place for heroes, martyrs, and so on.
Thirdly, there are many beautiful landscapes, such as Palm Hill in Huong Nha Commune (Phu Tho), Green Tea Hills (Phu Tho), Bac Lieu Ancient Longan Garden, Bac Lieu Salt Field,...
Various points:
Firstly, about the location address. Bac Lieu is a customs area in the Mekong Delta province and Phu Tho is a province in the Northeast.
Secondly, there's the voice. Northern (Phu Tho) clearly distinguishes the end tones and sounds deeper while the Southern voice (Bac Lieu) does not distinguish the end and sounds higher.
Thirdly, about population. Bac Lieu's population is less than Phu Tho's, while Phu Tho has a population of 1,463,726 (According to the 2019 Census) and Bac Lieu has 907,236 (According to the 2019 Census).

  1. Compare the difference between theory and practice

From the knowledge that I have learned about Northern culture, it is only theoretical, so my understanding of this land is only what is written in books. But thanks to the field trip here, it helped me approach the spiritual and cultural life, experience with my own eyes, learn about historical sites, landscapes and famous dishes associated with life of people.
For example, when I heard about Phu Tho rice ball, I just thought it was like Japanese rice ball with triangle shape and wrapped in seaweed, but when I experienced it myself, I realized that it is unlike any other place. Otherwise, it is wrapped in palm leaves and dipped with sesame salt or dried roasted pork.
