OPENING

It is obvious that the field trip to North Vietnam has a significant and necessary influence on students majoring in English. This journey provided me with the chance to learn more about the inhabitants of the North's nature, customs, cultural life, spiritual life, and so on.


In addition, I improved my soft skills such as teamwork, presentation skills, information collecting skills, solidarity, and so on.
I received a lot of helpful advises from the lecturers, family, and seniors before the trip, so I had a wonderful time on this field trip.


  1. CONTENT

The place that I had the opportunity to visit during this field trip is the Hung Temple Historic Site in Phu Tho province, and I would like to share with you a few interesting features here.



  1. An overview of the historical site of Hung Temple

The Hung Temple Historic Site is in Co Tich Village, Hy Cuong Commune, Viet Tri City, Phu Tho Province. Hung Temple is located 7 kilometers north of the heart of Viet Tri and 90 kilometers from Hanoi. We may get to Hung Temple from Hanoi by National Highway 2 or the Hanoi-Lao Cai railway.
Hung Temple – Phu Tho

Hung Temple is a very significant historical and cultural relic of the country, having been established on Hung mountain in Phong Chau territory, which was the successor area of the State of Van Lang 4,000 years ago. Hung Temple was erected 175m above sea level on Hung mountain (also known as Ca mountain in the local language or by many various names: Nghia Linh, Nghia Cuong, Hy Cuong, Hy Son, Bao Thieu Linh, Bao Thieu Son,...)


The Ministry of Culture and Information designated Hung Temple as a special national relic in 1962.



  • Main works of Hung Temple



Ha Temple was built in the Hau Le Dynasty (17th - 18th centuries), worshiping the Mountain God, 18 Hung Kings and 2 princesses Tien Dung and Ngoc Hoa - the 18th Hung King's daughter.


Trung Temple was built in the Tran Dynasty (13th century). This is the place where the Hung Kings contemplated the scenery and discussed business with the Lac marquis and Lac generals. Also here, Prince Lang Lieu offered banh chung and banh day to his father on the occasion of the traditional New Year.




Thuong Temple was built in the 15th century, according to legend, the Hung Kings often went up to conduct rituals and beliefs of agricultural residents worshiping heaven and earth, worshiping the god of rice, praying for favorable weather and good crops.

The Well Temple was built in the Nguyen Dynasty (nineteenth century), to worship Ngoc Hoa and Tien Dung who are the daughters of the 18th Hung King. Legend has it that the two princesses often wore their hair and looked in the mirror at this well.






Temple of the Mother Au Co was started construction in August 2001 and inaugurated in January 2005. Mother Au Co Temple was started construction in August 2001 and inaugurated in January 2005. Lac Long Quan Temple was started construction in March 2007 and inaugurated in March 2009. His eldest son is the founder of Van Lang, unifying 15 tribes, taking the title of Hung Vuong of the first generation.




Mausoleum of King Hung is the tomb of King Hung Vuong 6, the reign of King Tu Duc in the 27th year (1870) built the mausoleum. Following the reign of King Khai Dinh, in July 1922 the mausoleum was restored.




Hung Vuong Museum was started construction in 1987 and inaugurated on the occasion of Hung Vuong's death anniversary on March 10, 1993, this is a place to store and display many precious documents and artifacts that are scientific proofs to contribute Part of researching and learning about the Hung Vuong era - the era of the Vietnamese nation's founding.



  1. Hung Temple Festival in Phu Tho

Hung King's death anniversary or Hung Temple Festival or National death anniversary is one of the most important festivals of Vietnamese people to commemorate the Hung Kings who have built and defended the country.
The traditional ceremony is held annually on the 10th day of the third lunar month at Hung Temple, Viet Tri city, Phu Tho province.
On December 6, 2012, the Hung Vuong death anniversary was known to the world when UNESCO recognized the “Hung Vuong worship belief in Phu Tho” as a representative intangible cultural heritage of mankind
