Production of Oleoresin from Aquilaria Species by Fungal InfectionSomphavanh RadavanhScience and Technology Research Institute, National Authority for Sciences and Technology Aquilaria Morphology The Thymeleaceae, Aquilaria tree in is an evergreen that grows up to 30 meters high and 60 centimeters in diameter with white flowers that are sweetly scented. Grows from Northern to Southern of Laos.

New Aquilaria species was found in Laos, 18° 10’ 55N, 104° 59’12 E, 525 m.

Agarwood The source of Agarwood is the Aquilaria tree The healthy wood of the Aquilaria tree is white, soft, even-grained, and not scented when freshly cut.
